Gilpin County School observed a stirring Veterans Day celebration on Thursday, November 10. The assembly was a moving tribute to these men and women who sacrificed that we might be free. About 25 veterans of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines were given the seats of honor. (more…)

The Gilpin High School football squad had been hoping for a victory against top-ranked West Grand of Kremmling in the season’s final matchup last Saturday, October 29. A win would have made the Eagles A-8 Northwest League champions and sent them to the playoffs. (more…)

Football Victory over Hayden
The Gilpin H.S. Eagles football team put a tiger in their tank – the Hayden Tigers football team, that is – on October 14, coming away with a 36-0 win in the away conference contest. Gilpin holds a 4-3 overall record, 2-1 in league action. Hayden is 3-4 overall and 1-2 league. (more…)
