    The Rotary Club is sponsoring a virtual “Town Hall” via Zoom on Thursday, October 1 from noon – 1 pm, and Jeff Kelley will be hosting it as the moderator. What is a mill levy, why are there so many, which should I vote for, and how much will the mill levy cost? The meeting is sponsored by the Peak to Peak Rotary Club, and will have a presenter from each of the four groups requesting your vote for a mill levy tax increase on November 3 election day – Sheriff’s Office, Gilpin Library, Community Center, and Gilpin School.     The first circus to cross the United States was famed showman Dan Castello’s Great Show of 1869. After leaving the eastern United States, it eventually arrived in Omaha where it traveled on the Union Pacific Railroad from Omaha to California, beginning its journey on May 27.
