Broncos cheerleaders tryouts

Final Auditions

by Dave Gibson

It is the last game of the season and there is one second left on the clock. The ball is on your opponent’s three-yard line and if you score a touchdown you’ll continue on to postseason. If you fail to cross the goal line, all of the hours of practice and hard work invested will be for naught and you’ll go home contemplating lost opportunities and possibly already looking forward to another chance next year.

That must be how the final forty-nine prospective Denver Broncos Cheerleaders felt when auditioning for the team Sunday, March 25th, at the University of Denver’s June Swaner Gates Concert Hall. Many of the women had formed lasting friendships during their tenures as cheerleaders and auditioning process. It would be difficult saying goodbye to almost half of them. Only the strongest twenty-six candidates would become 2018 Broncos Cheerleaders.

As with any professional football team, the squad will be a mixture of proven and reliable veterans along with new talent.

Returning Denver Broncos Cheerleaders: Gioia (5th year), Jozie (4th year), Nikki (4th year), Sara (4th year), Katherine (3rd year), Marissa (3rd year), McKenna (3rd year), Brielle (3rd year), Gabriella (3rd year), Sydney (3rd year), Hayley (3rd year), Annie (3rd year), Berkleigh (2nd year), Allison (2nd year), Hailey Jo (2nd year), Madison (2nd year), Breanna (2nd year), Morgan (2nd year), Chelsea (2nd year), and Erica L. (2nd year).

And special congratulations to the newest Broncos rookie cheerleaders: Miranda, Andria, Caitlynn, Emily, Dee, and Erica S.
