Council met with Staff for a work session prior to the regular meeting. The topics of discussion were the upcoming budget calendar and gaming device fees. The City reduced the 2020 Budget by 70 percent already so far. Gaming revenues have decreased by 41 percent this year. (more…)

Ready for action! Began phased reopening this week
Mardi Gras, Golden Gulch, and Golden Gates casinos will begin their phased-in reopening on Wednesday, June 17. All properties will open under restrictions, including a change in hours of operation, total capacity, limited dining options and gaming options as well as health and safety precautions for all players, guests and employees. Machine gaming can officially return to Black Hawk on June 17th following a variance submitted by Gilpin County and approved by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
