Gilpin County Youth and High School Tournaments

The snowstorm of Friday night, December 16, put a stop to many people’s plans, but it was no match for the Gilpin County Youth Wrestlers. The club hosted its second major meet of the season, the Metro Junior Wrestling League tournament, at Gilpin County High School. Several wrestlers posted outstanding results. (more…)

Girls’ varsity loses a 35-33 squeaker to Rocky Mountain Lutheran

Mountain folk headed to the Gilpin Community Center (GCC) on Saturday, December 10, for the 14th Annual Winter Arts Festival. It was a great way to support more than fifty local and regional arts and crafts vendors while shopping for unique gifts for family members. It was also an opportunity to donate to worthy causes, enjoy art by Gilpin school children, and to visit with friends old and new. (more…)
