    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cody Robert Allen. Cody was born on May 24, 1991 in Wheat Ridge, CO and passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 29 in his hometown of Central City, CO. Cody was an amazing human. He was kind, honest, and hardworking. He was always willing to help his family and friends and was active in his community.     John Chadwick “Bert” Bertram, 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 23, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Las Vegas with the Rev. James Jankowski officiating. There will be a military graveside service this summer in Denver, Colorado. Bert was born December 22, 1932 at 12:22 pm in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Russell and Esther (Carlen) Bertram.     Christina Diane Bellamy died at only 28 years old on December 18, 2020 in Bennett, Colorado in the home of Steven Shilo Christiansen and his mom Vicki Lampel who were also in the home at the time of death. Cause of death is suspicious, and cause is pending investigation. Christina was born to Terry and Diane Bellamy April 17, 1992 in Colorado.     February 6, 1936 – January 4, 2021

    Long time Gilpin resident Sally Walsh passed away on January 4th, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Sally grew up in Whitman, West Virginia. Her first nine years of childhood growing up in the Great Depression as well as World War II certainly must have been a challenge. She graduated from High School and moved to Chicago where she met and married Bob. She and her husband Bob first purchased land in Gilpin County in 1976 and starting building their home.
